Another Venue or Two...

where you know who just threw a few new things she drew down to view.

Ahh, March! Hyde Park and Safety Harbor two favorite shows that make me love March.

At Hyde Park, I added another Girl Scout piece to my collection. Ok, so maybe it was a renewed try at what I started in Clearwater. I made a bit more progress this time on the famous GS alumnae. Posted a couple views to the Girl Scout page.

At Safety Harbor I struggled to find a way to reach my family friendly goal of nipples hitting the Safety Harbor sidewalks. A subject not permitted...I think I pushed it a bit further with the addition of a couple nudes- a Great Dane and a baby. Did not finish early enough to get all the shadows in properly, but the diaper bag spilled and the nipples landed and that was all I really needed to amuse myself. Well, that and the company of fellow artists and fun conversations with the visitors. I especially enjoyed a hardy kiss from a delightful Harlequin Great Dane that seemed to like the piece.

About Me

My photo
Brooksville, Florida
Raised in Michigan, Roni François developed her love of art while perusing the Flint Institute of Arts’ galleries and art books at the nearby library. Her initial plunge into self-expression was working in oils. Roni relocated to South Florida where she exhibited in shows in Lake Worth and West Palm Beach. While her children were young, Roni switched to three-dimensional arts including costume design, pine needle basketry and soft sculpture. After short stints of work in colored pencil, fabric art, pastel and acrylics; watercolor has become the main focus of her artwork. Now living in Brooksville, Florida, the largely self-taught artist delves into such varied subjects as wildlife, portraiture, still-life, florals, landscapes and seascapes. Recently, she has added chalk shows to her interests and has now participated in 24 shows around Florida, and demonstrated the process for 2 groups of Girl Scouts
